FAQ

Straight answers.

How we are funded, how editorial decisions are made, and how to work with us.

Who funds SAFE Labs?

Paid assurance work, advisory retainers, grants and workshops. The public tools and papers are how people find the paid work, not the other way around. No single source may exceed 40% of revenue.

Are you independent?

Yes. Editorial decisions sit with the lab. Commissioned work is labelled. Views in a piece are the author's, not a client's. See Independence.

Can a client change the findings?

No. A client can decline to put a piece out under our name. They cannot rewrite the conclusion.

What is the 40% rule?

No funder, client or grant may exceed 40% of revenue. The cap exists so one bank, ministry or donor cannot become the lab.
